Kyustendil, the ‘town of cherries’ and birthplace of painter Vladimir Dimitrov (‘The Master’) now has another asset to list to its attractions: the exquisite five-star hotel Strimon Spa Club. The town has of old been known for its medicinal warm springs – in fact word has it that they were the very reason the Thracians first came to these regions. It is not by chance that the building that houses the Strimon hotel is actually a reconstructed former balneotherapy sanatorium, used to cure ailments through medicinal bathing. The hotel building was constructed between 1955 and 1960, the original architecture is a replica to the style of Master Aleksij – a designer, mason and constructor of the Rila Monastery. Alternatively, you can enjoy a discreet business meeting while tasting a range of exclusive wines and selected
hors d’oeuvres. Although not a typical business hotel, Strimon offers all necessary facilities for successful corporate dealings: it has a fully equipped conference room with highspeed internet access that allows for various layouts of 20, 30 or 80 seats, a separate luxurious business hall that holds up to 30 people, and an Executive Lounge for more intimate business talks.
